Spiced Chocolate Smoothie

When you make the same smoothie four times in a week and a half, you know it’s time to share the love. This smoothie is thick and creamy like a frosty, with warming spices that fill it with flavor! I can’t recommend this seasonal smoothie enough.

dairy free, gluten free, soy free, added/refined sugar free

Yield: 1 smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup frozen cauliflower rice

  • 1/3 cup frozen butternut squash

  • 1/3 small banana

  • 1 scoop chocolate protein

  • 1 T cacao powder

  • 3/4 cup liquid (unsweetened nut milk, dairy milk, or water, or a mix)

  • 1.5 T psyllium husk

  • 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

  • pinch of sea salt

  • 1 cup of ice

  • optional: spoonful of Greek yogurt or cottage cheese

Directions

  1. In a high speed blender, add all ingredients, besides ice

  2. Blend on high. add ice and blend again

  3. Top with cacao nibs, and flakey sea salt, if desired and enjoy immediately!
